Integration

GOAL TWO
Integration: One Organisation, Greater Impact
When Community Resources first identified Integration as a strategic goal, the vision was clear: every enterprise and business unit would have a strong and connected place within the Community Resources family. We set out to strengthen collaboration, share expertise and work more effectively together to maximise our collective impact.
Strengthening How We Work Together
A major focus has been creating greater alignment across the organisation. Our Enterprise Services Team continued to provide a shared support backbone across marketing and communications, people and culture, finance, governance, ICT, culture, and quality and risk. By bringing these functions together, we improved consistency, reduced duplication and enabled our enterprises and business units to focus on delivering impact.
Leadership has also become increasingly connected. Regular Executive, General Manager and leadership forums have created stronger opportunities to share insights, discuss priorities and align decision-making across the organisation. These conversations help ensure that our future direction is shaped by the diverse experiences, challenges and opportunities that exist across Community Resources.
A More Coordinated Approach to Business Development
Integration has also strengthened the way we engage with customers, partners and opportunities.
The introduction of a shared CRM platform and a coordinated centralised business development approach has enabled teams to share insights, identify opportunities and build stronger relationships across the organisation. Increasingly, we are working together to understand customer needs and explore ways that different parts of Community Resources can contribute value.
This approach is helping us identify common customers, strengthen account management and present a more connected organisation to external stakeholders.
Telling the Community Resources Story
A key ambition of this goal was to create a stronger, shared identity for Community Resources. Today, that vision is increasingly reflected in the way we engage with stakeholders and communities.
Through conferences, partnerships and industry events, we are showcasing the breadth of our social, environmental, employment and community impact. Events such as Waste 2026 and the SECNA Social Enterprise Festival brought multiple enterprises together under a shared Community Resources presence, helping audiences better understand the scale and diversity of our work.
This unified approach is building awareness of our scale, strengthening confidence and opening new opportunities across the organisation.
An Integrated Community Resources
Today, Community Resources is delivering on the vision that first inspired this strategic goal.
We have evolved from a collection of individual enterprises and services into a more connected and coordinated organisation. Through shared systems, integrated support services and stronger collaboration, we are better able to share expertise, pursue opportunities, respond to community needs and maximise our collective impact.
Importantly, integration has not been about creating uniformity across our brands. It has been about connecting our strengths and ensuring each part of Community Resources contributes to a shared purpose.
