In FY26, RRA delivered a landmark expansion across the Clarence Valley, assuming operations of eight waste transfer stations and establishing Reviva Grafton – the region's first reuse shop. It brought 22 local people into our team, many of whom already knew the sites and had deep roots in their communities.
A broken chair, an old dolls house or even a chopstick can look very different when you start thinking about what else it could become.
Through waste audits, education and practical advice, our Green Yakka Zero Waste team helps sustainability focused organisations understand what is in their waste streams and identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve recycling and divert valuable materials from landfill. At the same time, we create employment and training opportunities for people experiencing barriers to work, including former refugees and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
In FY26, Community Resources reached one of the most significant goals we’ve been working towards across successive strategic plans: becoming an Aboriginal-led organisation. This milestone reflects our history, our purpose and a long-term commitment to returning to our roots.
A driver’s licence is something many of us take for granted. But for young people and families in regional communities, where travel distances are long and public transport is limited, it can be life-changing.
This year, what stood out most to me was the strength of our people and the culture we have created together.
When Community Resources first identified Integration as a strategic goal, the vision was clear: every enterprise and business unit would have a strong and connected place within the Community Resources family. We set out to strengthen collaboration, share expertise and work more effectively together to maximise our collective impact.
As one of Australia’s leading social enterprises, we take our responsibility for financial stewardship seriously. Strong financial health is not an end in itself. It is what enables us to create jobs, support communities, heal Country and continue delivering impact for generations to come.
For more than 30 years, Helping Hands has supported people across the Mid North Coast through care services, home modifications, maintenance and building services. In FY26, the team took that building expertise into a new area: modular housing.
We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of Australia and recognise the continuing connection to land, waters and culture. We pay our respects to Elders past and present. Together we walk towards healing.

Founded on Worimi Country in 1987 as Great Lakes Community Resources, we began as a community development organisation creating training and employment opportunities for local Aboriginal people experiencing disadvantage. Over the decades, our reach widened, our impact grew and our communities thrived. In 2017, we became Community Resources.
Today, we operate some of Australia’s largest social enterprises and deliver place-based community services. Through our work, we create pathways to meaningful employment, care for Country and strengthen communities.

Since 2017 we have operated as Community Resources. We now run some of the largest social enterprises in the country and deliver a range of community services. In FY25, we gave employment opportunities to 960 people across New South Wales, Queensland,Victoria, Western Australia, the Australian Capital Territory and the Northern Territory.
